This straight staircase has painted risers and walnut treads with a matching walnut handrail for our client in Sherburn in Elmet. Turned spindles are painted to match the risers. The continuous handrail finishes at the bottom of the stairs with a volute, terminates at the top with a square newel post, and then continues to a matching landing balustrade. Under the stairs has been closed in to create lots of under-stairs storage.
Our client in Wakefield wanted a new staircase, so we brought this straight oak staircase, which has a matching balustrade. The glass balustrade is topped with an oak handrail and has square oak newel posts which stand on a feature bull-nose step at the bottom. It has oak closed strings and oak treads and risers. The look finishes with a matching glass balustrade and oak handrail on the landing area.
